Although they will likely never measure up to “Crisis on Infinite Earths. That’s a huge relief and an indicator that we may have more crossovers to look forward to in the future. Luckily, we’ll find out next week when “Crisis on Infinite Earths” wraps up!Īnd just in case you’re feeling down in the dumps about Arrow’s final season, we’ve got some good news for you: The CW has renewed all of its superhero shows (thank goodness!) including DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Batwoman and Black Lightning. But could Oliver be a new and improved version of the Spectre? Maybe he’ll use his newfound powers for good? Looking at that poster, I don’t know if that will be the case. DC Comics fans know just how powerful the Spectre is, and beating him is pretty darn tough. Meanwhile, Oliver (Stephen Amell) must deal with the perpetrator behind the attack and realizes the best way to do so is as Mayor Queen instead of the Green. This was a huge reveal, because if Oliver Queen is indeed the Spectre, he’s basically untouchable. In the Comics, Corrigan is the one and only Spectre, but it looks like that mantle is being handed off to Oliver. To give a quick background on who and what the Spectre is, refer back to the moment where Oliver is found in Purgatory and a man named Jim Corrigan pops up. The character first appeared in 'More Fun Comics' 52 (February, 1940), created by Jerry Siegel and Bernard Baily. I’m not sure I’m feeling this version of Oliver, especially given we have just a handful of episodes left of Arrow. Hes a superhero ghost, though in practice he has been everything from a supernatural serial killer (of criminals) to the Agent of Gods Wrath over the years.
